I was born on July 30, 1977 to a farmer and a housewife in Hart, Texas. 16.5 years later I accepted the call to ministry. A few months after graduation I not only found myself not using an art scholarship to West Texas A&M, but I did not even find myself at that University. Instead the Holy Spirit steered me toward Wayland Baptist University where I majored in Religion and minored in Art. In July of 1995, I began college classes. In August 1995, I became the youth pastor of the First United Methodist Church in Olton, Texas (my wife's home-town).

In August 1997, I became the youth pastor at the First United Methodist Church in Tulia, Texas. In June 2001, Tracy and I left the home front of Texas for Kentucky. I attended Asbury Theological Seminary and graduated with a Master's of Divinity in May of 2004.

I was appointed as Associate Pastor to the First United Methodist Church of Plainview in June of 2004. I was ordained as an Elder in Full Connection in June 2007. We have loved being in Plainview for six years. It has been a very fruitful ministry, and we will miss it very much. However, God put it within our heart to be senior pastor, to lead the entire church, to help cast vision, and be a part of good ministry, This is how God has led us to Morning Star.

My wife, TRACY and I met in October 1994 when our rival high-schools played one another. I was a football player and she was a cheerleader for the opposing team. I fell in love then and there. On July 11, 1998 we were married, and it has been an adventure ever since! TRACY is a very talented woman. She is not only exceedingly kind and good; she is an amazing cook, gardener, and a loyal friend and confidant to many. Tracy is a high-school English, Theatre, Social Studies, and Humanities teacher.

Our son, JAX was born October 4, 2004. Jax is much like his mother…..kind, friendly, adventurous, and good-hearted. Jax loves baseball, golf, super-heroes, and he is becoming a good little artist. He will be in kindergarten this year.

Our Little Miss Independent, SAVANNAH was born January 12, 2007. For a three year old…she gets around, and into everything!!!! Her favorite things are babies, candy, dogs, candy, cats, candy, MeMe (Tracy's mom), candy, Nanna (my mom), candy, singing, candy, acting, candy, Christmas, candy, praying at meals, candy, candy, and oh did I mention candy? Savannah will attend a local day-care this year.
